Patience Grasshoppa'
I know one certain important individual dropped out.
But then again, I know I guy in CT who's dying to get in and wants to know if we need cash for up front expenses.
Preach should have the complete list. If you have spare time and want to help. I can email you the excel spreadsheet with everyone. Paul.

I am going on the same premise that we left off at last year with a $1000 entry fee. No more no less. Right?

After viewing the land personally, I have 3 potential new investors as well.

Help- What do you need me to do? I can offer up whatever I can....

Hi guys: I just want to add somthing to think about. There are grant $$$ out there to help with land aquisition. If my memory is working Grant-In-Aid, is one such source. The main requirement is that the land be open to the public. I have grant management experience. I would like to see you all get a much bigger piece of land.

[John Wayne voice] Well, well, well. If it isn't the Treasurer himself signing on! [/John Wayne voice]

Welcome aboard Steve. Glad to have you and your expertise. When we were hashing out the basics last year we all pretty much agreed to the KISS principal(le). I agree with you however that this opportunity should always be kept in our minds as an option. If not for this piece, maybe for the next piece.

I believe the Grant requires a lot of structure and a well built organization in place. Although my .02 would be to form a corporation for the 30 of us as equal shareholders, as to this piece of land we are approaching it as "a bunch of guys getting together to buy a chunk of land to wheel on".

(hey, what are these new buttons I got??)

It was/is my understanding we are going to structure it into a LLC or Sub S or Trust.

I have a sneaking suspicion this is really gonna fly when we nail the organizational structure and finalize the piece of land we want. The not-so-serious will bail and the serious folks will get ready to put up their $1,000.00.

This is an investment folks. Although we are KIS, we wanna be sure we have a solid core of folk who want a share in a 90 acre wheeling/vacation spot in Central NH. Paul Regish.

Let's nail it before the grumpier ones get done hibernating and make this sh*t happen. ;D

Can we list our organization structure options again? Thx.

Preach, you are going to be our rep for closing on the property. Should we get a lawyer to go go over the liability stuff or should we just get an insurance co, and speak with them regarding insurance. The land trust idea seemed to be a good idea, but we do want to keep it low cost and simple. If we are a corp our liability is limited to our investment and losing the land, end of story.

We can issue shares to everyone. This will be neat.
